  1. I've just read the critique and would like to say, well written. I' m glad that the numbers have been mentioned as I was beginning to think I was going mad trying to make sense of the numbers on the consultation document. I also wrote SCC a strongly worded email yesterday as year 6 parents of children starting in September were only sent a letter yesterday informing of document and meeting. A little 12 days late I think! Yet again the future pupils of Tomlinscote I feel are an after thought!

  2. Can we post this as a link in our comments back on the 'consulation document' to SCC as something we agree with?

    Well done...great research!

  4. This is a fantastic document well thought out and considered. The only thing that concerns me is that it seems more professional than the one produced by Surrey County Council.

  6. Unless of course Tomlinscote and Kings become academies.

  7. I wrote to the Governors this morning asking if they have ever considered become an Academy. I asked : if so, what did their research reveal. If not, why not, given that it seems such a popular choice at least for the successful schools.

  10. Tomlinscote was looking at becoming an academy!!! We had a staff meeting, Ryles stood up and went through some stuff with us. As Union members our representatives went for meetings with Ryles. The merger was mentioned and that was that!!!never uttered again!

  11. Tomlinscote senior management were more than happy to have their PAN increased when it suited them. It meant more money pouring into its coffers. We do not want to hear about the school being overcrowded anymore. Why introduce more students onto the site by building a vocational centre? Surely it would have been better to address the overcrowding in the school first and foremost. Any responsible leadership team would have addressed this issue first!

  12. Just checked my emails and cae across a parentmail from thegovenors. It appears to me that the meetings are designed to be a devide and conquor methodof this discussion. Anybody else think the same?
