  3. We support educational choice in Surrey Heath.
  4. We want Tomlinscote, Collingwood and Kings as separate schools offering distinctive and excellent education.
  5. We are against a split site proposal.
  6. We are concerned about the HIGH RISK strategy of the proposed takeover in relation to the quality of education for students at both schools.
  7. We will seek to look at credible alternatives which will deliver both choice and educational excellence.
Our Mission is to :
Stop the merger and retain the separate identity of both schools.

Aims: (deliverables)
  1. The retraction of the merger proposal for Tomlinscote and Kings.
  2. The retraction of the closure proposal for Kings International.
  3. The retraction of the proposal to operate a split site school in Frimley/Camberley.
  4. To understand the findings of the Due Diligence exercise and ensure the Governors make an informed decision on behalf of the education of our children.
  5. To actively participate in the consultation process with Governors and County.
  6. To ensure the provision of high quality education for students during this period of uncertainty.
How do we intend to achieve this: (tasks and methods)
  1. Set up a valid campaign group which has a proper constitution to enable us to be engaged with by County and the Governing Body of Tomlinscote during the Consultation process.
  2. To represent the parents of both schools and members of the Surrey Heath community who are against the merger and the split site proposal.
  3. To engage the community by informing them of the key issues.
  4. To persuade stakeholders to become active in the consultation process.
  5. To set up groups to: a) examine the information provided by County b) investigate the proposals in depth c) rigorously assess the viability of the proposals presented by County.
  6. To keep the local community informed of issues relating to the proposal throughout the consultation process through the Tomlinscote-kings.blogspot.com
  7. To actively campaign against a) the proposed merger of Tomlinscote and Kings International College b) the proposed closure of Kings International College.
  8. To analyse and publicise the impact of the proposal in relation to traffic issues and the impact on the hospital site.
  9. To work together as two school communities to remain separate.

WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?
We want to provide our children with educational choice in Surrey Heath.
We want to ensure our views are heard and listened to in a fair and open consultation process.
We want to protect the educational interests of all our children whether in primary or secondary education.
We want to preserve diverse educational choice in Surrey Heath.
We want to avoid the impact of increased traffic through the Frimley area and the impact this will have on children, parents, the wider community and the environment.
We want to stop the proposed merger.
We want to prevent the negative effects of a split site school.
